The Cisco Meraki MR72 was the workhorse for cloud-managed outdoor coverage — a ruggedized, IP67-rated 802.11ac access point built to blanket yards, parking structures, marinas, mining sites, and harsh industrial campuses while staying fully managed from the Meraki dashboard. Connectivity and power stay familiar. The MR76 uses a single 1 GbE (10/100/1000 RJ45) uplink — same as the MR72 — and runs on 802.3at PoE+ at roughly 15W, while remaining 802.3af-compatible in normal mode.
