Frequently asked questions

Common campus switching questions, answered by the Uniqcli Team.

How many Catalyst 9300 switches can I stack?

Up to 8 in a StackWise stack, acting as one logical unit with hitless failover. You can mix PoE, UPOE, data, and multigigabit models in the same stack.

What PoE does the Catalyst 9300 support, and what is the power budget?

PoE, PoE+, Cisco UPOE (60W), and UPOE+ (90W per port). A fully loaded switch with dual power supplies delivers up to roughly 1440W of PoE — we size the power budget to your endpoints.

What licensing do the switches need?

A perpetual Network license ships with the hardware; Network/DNA Advantage or Premier subscriptions (1, 3, 5, or 7-year) add automation and assurance. We size the tier and term in the quote.

How is the 9300 different from the 9200?

The 9300 is a stackable enterprise-access platform with higher stack bandwidth, UPOE/UPOE+, modular uplinks, and richer security and telemetry. The 9200 is a fixed value-access switch for simpler closets.

Can you replace older switches without downtime?

Yes — staged config conversion, StackWise, and a phased cutover let us swap 3850 or older switches with minimal disruption, including transceivers, structured cabling, labeling, and validation.

Start with an estimate, then validate the final BOM.
