Overview
The Catalyst CW9800H2 is the high-capacity member of Cisco's next-generation controller family, engineered for large campuses and service-provider wireless that demand maximum scale. Like the H1 it supports 6,000 access points, 64,000 clients, and up to 100 Gbps of throughput in a 1RU chassis, but uses a 2 x 40 Gbps QSFP+ uplink configuration (plus 8 x 1/10 Gbps) to match different aggregation designs. It runs Cisco IOS XE with stateful switchover, hot and cold patching, and the Catalyst 9800 security suite for always-on, encrypted wireless services.
