The Cisco Catalyst 9164I is a high-performance indoor Wi-Fi 6E access point that opens the 6 GHz band for clean, high-throughput connectivity alongside 2.4 and 5 GHz. It uses 2x2 MIMO on 2.4 GHz and 4x4 MIMO on both 5 GHz and 6 GHz for 10 total spatial streams, with a 2.5 Gigabit multigigabit RJ-45 uplink for dense enterprise, healthcare, and education environments. This MR variant is cloud-managed through the Meraki dashboard for simplified provisioning, monitoring, and policy.
