This four-socket, high-memory enterprise rack server was a strong platform in its day, purpose-built for large-scale virtualization, big in-memory databases, and consolidation projects that needed many cores and a lot of RAM in a single 2RU chassis. That day has passed. The C420 M3 reached End-of-Sale on February 6, 2016 and its Last Day of Support on February 28, 2021. What the lifecycle dates mean for a server that still boots
