Cisco MR56-HW End of Life & End of Support

Cisco Meraki MR56 Wi-Fi 6 Cloud Managed Access Point

Supported through Aug 7, 2030

The MR56 was Meraki's high-density Wi-Fi 6 indoor access point and the direct successor to the MR53E, but it too reached end-of-sale on August 7, 2025 with support through August 7, 2030. Cisco's current-line replacement is the Catalyst Wireless CW9166, a tri-band Wi-Fi 6E access point that can be cloud-managed through the same Meraki dashboard. Buyers refreshing high-density indoor coverage should move straight to the CW9166.
