Six-slot modular ASR 1000 chassis built for high-capacity WAN aggregation at larger campuses and service-provider edges. Cisco's bulletin lists the ASR1006-X and the Catalyst 8500-20X6C as replacements; since the ASR1006-X is now itself end-of-sale, the Catalyst 8500-20X6C is the current migration path.
