The Cisco Wireless 9178I is Cisco's most capable indoor Wi-Fi 7 access point, with a software-defined flex radio that operates in tri-radio or quad-radio (dual-5 GHz) mode and 4x4:4 MIMO per radio for up to 16 spatial streams. Two 10 Gigabit multigigabit RJ-45 ports support link aggregation and PoE redundancy for resilient, high-capacity backhaul in the most demanding enterprise and federal deployments. The quad-radio design boosts spectrum efficiency and client capacity simultaneously, and a dedicated scanning radio plus integrated GNSS/GPS and BLE/IoT radio round out the platform. The CFG (Configurable) variant is build-to-order with 10-pack packaging and flexible mounting; like all 9178I units it runs under either the Meraki dashboard or a Catalyst 9800 controller.
